What to add on top
The factory price is not the landed price. Budget for sea freight, insurance, import duty and local tax, unloading and inland delivery. Together these usually add a meaningful percentage to the factory cost, and the smaller your order, the heavier that share becomes.
Why we do not publish freight rates
Container rates move constantly with the shipping market and the season. A 40 foot container holds roughly 65 to 76 cubic metres of goods. We quote freight fresh at the time you order rather than print a figure that will be wrong next month.
Duty and tax are your country’s call
Import duty and VAT or GST depend on the HS code of each product and on your destination country. Your customs broker confirms the exact rate. We prepare the documentation and the correct classification so nothing is held up at the border.
When importing does not pay
Buying furniture from China works best at container quantities, because shipping and customs cost close to the same whether a container is full or half empty. If your volume is too small to justify it, we will tell you plainly instead of taking the order.
